Branching Out Wood

Modern Functional Home Decor by David Wertheimer

Wedding Day

Our wedding ceremony and reception are both taking place at Kohl Mansion at 2750 Adeline Drive, Burlingame, 94010, which is about 30 minutes south of San Francisco, and 10 minutes from the Westin hotel where we have reserved a room block.

The ceremony begins at 4p on Saturday, May 20, 2023. There is easy parking in the two lots on property, and Lyft or Uber are recommended if you will be drinking given some of the winding roads between the freeway exit and the property.

Come with your appetites! We have yummy appetizers, a cookie bar alongside our wedding cake, and late night snacks! For the entrees, we have three choices from which you can select on the RSVP.

The Kohl Mansion itself was built just as the Gilded Age came to a close. Built by Charles Frederick Kohl of San Jose, the family fortune came from his father who founded the Alaska Commercial Company. The four-story Tudor became the site of lavish parties the couple gave for the “smart set,” and the Great Hall’s fluted wood paneling is vaguely reminiscent of the Refectory Room at Hearst Castle. Read more about the history here; we have the luxury of full access to the ground floor and exterior grounds, and will be using just about every space!
