The small maple drawer - measuring about 3-1/4” deep by 5-1/2” wide at the top of the triangle - is great for change, a few extra keys, or perhaps a deck of cards. The entire shelf is 4” deep, and mounts via two small screws that slip into keyhole slots cut into the back, which are invisible from the front.
